ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of composition is featured for performing a fluoroimmunoassay of a biological fluid sample for an immunological reactant. A conjugate of a carrier labelled with fluorophores and coupled to an immunological reactant is mixed with the sample and a known quantity of binding agent. After equilibrium is accomplished, the bound and unbound portions are separated. The carrier in a selected portion is chemically treated to liberate the fluorophores. The fluorescent level is then measured and compared with a standard. Docket 2135-A
