Lipid-based carriers are provided herein that have a lamellar lipid component composed of an etherlipid and a complementarily shaped lipid. This novel combination of lipids allows for the incorporation of etherlipids in the carriers at higher concentrations than would otherwise be possible. Pharmaceutical compositions containing the carriers can be used therapeutically, for example, in the treatment of cancers.

On décrit des vecteurs à base de lipides qui contiennent un constituant lipidique lamellaire lui-même constitué d'un étherlipide et d'un lipide formé de manière complémentaire. Cette nouvelle combinaison de lipides permet d'incorporer des étherlipides dans des vecteurs à des concentrations supérieures à celles qu'il est possible d'obtenir sans cette dernière. On peut utiliser en thérapie des compositions pharmaceutiques contenant lesdits vecteurs, pour traiter des cancers par exemple.
