Page 8 Keeping in mind portability and ease of use, a portable wireless device, such as mobile phones and iPODs, carrying case solar charger is presented here. The present invention has two major parts, carrying case and a solar panel mounted on the case or the solar panel is attached to the carrying case via a flap. The flap could be detachable. The solar panel is connected to the charging battery via a DC connector which is then connected to a specific battery adaptor for portable device, such as mobile phones or iPOD. The battery adaptor can also be embedded into the carrying case. The present invention can charge any portable device in the market using standard battery adaptors. For the iPOD, the dock connector can be provided aside with the invention or can be built in to the case for easy connection. Furthermore the case or the solar panel may have a LCD or LED display to show the status of the charging device or the charger itself, also there could be a simple on/off switch. This solar panel can work as a separate charger for MP3 player, portable games and can charge any low power rechargeable batteries.
