ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A strap mount for detachably securing a carrying strap with a loop to an eyelet of, for instance, binoculars, is provided with a flexible cord loop. One end of the cord loop is connected directly to the eyelet by means of a simple noose and the other end to a single-piece mounting element by means of a detachable connection. The mounting element is suspended in the loop of the carrying strap and secured by means of a latch slide. The cord loop and the mounting element are made of a plastic material.
