The invention may be embodied in as a canopy system for a vehicle (10), such as a golf cart which may be used to sheild a storage area (55). There may be a first support member (13) being pivotal about a first axis (76) and a second support member (16) pivotal about a second axis (79), the second axis being different than the first axis. There is a canopy (49) supported from at least one of the support members (13, 16). The canopy system may be designed so that when a canopy is not in a deployed position, the first and second support members (13, 16) are in a nesting relationship. The canopy system may include a housing (82).
