Abstract Of The Disclosure A paperboard carton for drinking glasses directly engages stems or other irregularly shaped portions to rigidly and securely hold the glasses within the carton. The carton is erected from a blank form in a method requiring no direct manual manipulation to position the stem holding portion of the carton. The carton is formed as an open ended rectangular sleeve with a stem holding panel extending horizontally across the interior of the carton.
