A gabled carton is set forth that is comprised of a top gabled portion, a bottom gabled portion (14) and a bottom fin (16) extending from the bottom gabled portion. The bottom fin has a distal seal (24) extending lengthwise along the bottom fin at a location between the bottom gabled portion and an outer edge (18). There is also a proximal seal (22) on the bottom fin and it extends lengthwise along the bottom fin at a location between the bottom gabled portion and the distal seal. There is a relieved area (20) on a central portion of the proximal seal. Both of the seals extend lengthwise along the entire length of the bottom fin. The proximal seal is shallower than the distal seal. The relieved area extends above and below the proximal seal and is centered on it.
L'invention concerne un carton à pignons composé d'une partie supérieure en pignon, d'une partie inférieure en pignon (14) et d'une nervure inférieure (16) s'étendant depuis la partie inférieure en pignon. La nervure inférieure possède un joint distal (24) s'étendant dans le sens de sa longueur au niveau d'un emplacement situé entre la partie inférieure en pignon et un bord extérieur (18). Cette nervure inférieure comporte également un joint proximal (22) s'étendant dans le sens de sa longueur au niveau d'un emplacement situé entre la partie inférieure en pignon et le joint distal. Une zone évidée (20) se trouve sur une partie centrale du joint proximal. Les deux joints s'étendent longitudinalement sur toute la longueur de la nervure inférieure. Le joint proximal est moins profond que le joint distal. La zone évidée s'étend au-dessus et au-dessous du joint proximal et est centrée sur ce dernier.
