The disclosure relates to a (10) carton for a diagonally cut sandwich or like foodstuff formed from a blank of card and having triangular end walls (12,13) connected by rectangular side walls (18,19) to form a triangular prism-shaped container. One side wall of the container is hinged to another wall of the container to provide an opening for insertion/removal of foodstuff and to form a lid (25) for closing the opening. The edges of the opening have out-turned flanges (26,28) and the periphery of the lid overlies the out-turned flanges encircling the opening when the lid is in the closed position whereby the lid can be bonded to the flanges to seal the contents of the carton.

L'invention concerne une boîte en carton (10) pour sandwich coupé en diagonale ou analogue, formé à partir d'une découpe de carton et qui comporte des parois d'extrémité (12,13) triangulaires reliées par des parois latérales (18,19) rectangulaires formant un contenant triangulaire en forme de prisme. Une paroi latérale du contenant est reliée par une charnière à une autre paroi du contenant de manière à former une ouverture permettant d'insérer/retirer un produit alimentaire, et un couvercle (25) pour fermer l'ouverture. Les bords de l'ouverture comportent des rebords (26,28) tournés vers l'extérieur, et le pourtour du couvercle recouvre les rebords, encerclant l'ouverture lorsque le couvercle est en position fermée, ce qui permet de lier le couvercle aux rebords pour fermer la boîte en carton.
