ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A packaging machine is disclosed in which carton sealing is accomplished by applying a sealing ribbon to an open end of a folding flap carton in a series of same. The ribbon is then cut, withdrawn a predetermined distance, adhered to an open end of the next carton in the series and ribbon tension is relieved as the next carton is fed with the ribbon adhered thereto.
