The invention refers to a cartridge (1) adapted for insertion into a cartridge- seat that communicates with a low-pressure chamber, the cartridge by itself operating as a high-pressure chamber through the provision of a separate insert formed with a constriction that delays the flow of combustion gases into the low-pressure chamber. The insert is formed for insertion into the cartridge by the use of conventional reloading tools.
