The invention relates to cartridged ammunition, particularly blank ammunition, having a cartridge shell (3) and a projectile (2) placed therein. A propellant chamber (4) accommodating a pyrotechnic of a propellant charge (5) is disposed in the cartridge shell, said charge being ignitable by an ignition device (13) also containing pyrotechnic material that generates propellant gases that act on the base (8) of the projectile and propel said shot out of the cartridge shell. In order to prevent the pyrotechnic charges of the propellant charge and/or the ignition device from self-igniting at high ambient temperatures, particularly in a fire, thus tearing apart the cartridge shell and projectile and being flung away, provision is made according to the invention for an inert, meltable material to be mixed into the pyrotechnic charges of the propellant charge and/or the ignition device, said material having a melting temperature that is lower than the self-ignition temperature of the pyrotechnic charge with the lowest ignition temperature and, upon melting, at least phlegmatising the pyrotechnic charges of the propellant charge and/or the ignition device.
Munition encartouchée, en particulier munition d'exercice, présentant une douille (3) et un projectile (2) inséré à l'intérieur. Il est prévu dans la douille une chambre de charge propulsive (4) qui loge un composé pyrotechnique d'une charge propulsive (5) pouvant être mise à feu par un dispositif de mise à feu (13) renfermant également un composé pyrotechnique et dégageant des gaz propulseurs qui agissent sur le fond (8) du projectile et l'expulsent de la douille. L'invention a pour but d'empêcher qu'en présence de températures ambiantes élevées, notamment en cas d'incendie, les composés pyrotechniques de la charge propulsive et/ou du dispositif de mise à feu ne s'enflamment et que, de ce fait, la douille et le projectile ne se séparent par craquelage et ne soient projetés. A cet effet, l'invention est caractérisée en ce qu'il est prévu de mélanger dans les composés pyrotechniques de la charge propulsive et/ou du dispositif de mise à feu pyrotechnique, une matière inerte fusible, dont la température de fusion est inférieure à la température d'inflammation spontanée du composé pyrotechnique ayant la température d'inflammation la plus basse et qui, lors de la fusion, stabilise au moins les composés pyrotechniques de la charge propulsive et/ou du dispositif de mise à feu.
