A roller (4) for a wound ribbon such as a printer ink ribbon (8) may be rotationally coupled by pushing the projections or teeth (57b, 57c) of a wheel (53) on a drive spindle (3) into a soft material (33) defining part of the bore (29) in the roller (4). A spring blade (51) prevents the wheel from freely rotating and provides a snap-in feeling. The roller may be part of a cartridge having members for locking the rollers in a position in which the ribbon tension is optimised. The roller and spindle may be coupled in any relative angular position, and the rollers may thus be locked. Release is automatic when the cartridge is fully engaged. The ribbon may therefore be more readily installed in an optimised manner.
Pour coupler en rotation un rouleau (4) d'enroulement d'un ruban tel qu'un ruban encreur d'imprimante (8), on fait pénétrer dans de la matière tendre (33) contribuant à définir l'alésage (29) du rouleau (4), des saillies telles que des dents (57b, 57c) d'une roulette (53) du mandrin d'entraînement (3). Une lame de ressort (51) empêche la libre rotation de la roulette et procure une sensation de déclic d'enclenchement. Le rouleau peut appartenir à une cassette possédant des moyens de verrouillage des rouleaux dans une position correspondant à une tension optimale du ruban. Le couplage rouleau-mandrin accepte n'importe quelle position angulaire relative, et tolère donc que les rouleaux soient verrouillés. Le déverrouillage est automatique en fin d'engagement de la cassette. Utilisation pour optimiser et faciliter la mise en place du ruban.
