A fluid filter (10) assembly includes a housing (14) having a closed end and an open end; a filter element (12) operably oriented in the housing; a baffle plate (52) mounted to operably cover the housing open end; the baffle plate (52) including a first axial face (68) and an outer circumferential wall (58) circumbscribing the first axial face; the outer circumferential wall (58) being groove-free; the first axial face defining at least a first sealing groove (84); and a sealing gasket (88) oriented in the first sealing groove (84); the sealing gasket (88) forming a seal between the housing and the baffle plate. Methods of constructing, installing, and servicing includes fluids filters of the type described.
L'invention concerne un ensemble filtre à fluide (10) qui comprend: un corps (14) présentant une extrémité fermée et une extrémité ouverte; un élément filtrant (12) orienté de façon fonctionnelle dans ledit corps; une plaque déflectrice (52) montée de façon à couvrir fonctionnellement l'extrémité ouverte du corps, qui comprend une première face axiale (68) et une paroi circonférentielle extérieure (58) entourant la première face axiale, cette paroi circonférentielle extérieure (58) étant exempte de rainures et la première face axiale définissant au moins une première rainure (84) pour joint d'étanchéité; et un joint d'étanchéité (88) qui est orienté dans ladite première rainure (84) pour créer l'étanchéité entre ledit corps et la plaque déflectrice. L'invention concerne également des procédés de construction, de montage et d'entretien de tels filtres à fluide.
