Ammunition with structural and functional features such as to optimise the propellant combustion process when the weapon is fired, resulting in accelerated de- livery of the combustion gases. For this purpose, advantageously, the ammunition at issue is fitted with an innovative firing system (4), the incendiary operation of which allows to ignite the entire quantity of propellant (7) in a homogeneous and capillary manner. In this operational circumstance, a considerably larger quantity of propellant (than that occur- ring with the known art) is therefore ignited in a shorter time. This results in accelerated delivery of the gases, such as to transmit to the projectile (5) an extremely fast burst of thrust, resulting in greater ballistic yield of the projectile and greater damage to the target.
L'invention porte sur une munition ayant des caractéristiques structurales et fonctionnelles telles qu'elles optimisent le processus de combustion d'agent propulsif au moment de la mise à feu de l'arme, conduisant à une expulsion accélérée des gaz de combustion. Dans ce but, de manière avantageuse, la munition en question est équipée d'un nouveau système de mise à feu (4), dont l'action incendiaire permet d'enflammer de manière homogène et capillaire toute la quantité d'agent propulsif (7). Dans cette circonstance fonctionnelle, une quantité considérablement plus grande d'agent propulsif (par rapport à celle que l'on connaît dans l'art antérieur) est par conséquent enflammée en un temps plus court. Ceci produit une expulsion accélérée des gaz, de façon à transmettre au projectile (5) une salve extrêmement rapide de poussée, conduisant à un rendement balistique supérieur du projectile et à un endommagement plus important de la cible.
