- 8 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A case for storing and displaying a video cassette or the like is provided which comprises a lower housing and a cover for the housing and a hinged flap and a recess complementary to the flap which are provided in the bottom of the lower housing. The recess can receive a security metallic strip as well as the flap. The flap extends outwardly from the bottom of the housing and is rotatable into the recess. A method for installing a metallic strip in the case comprises placing the strip in the recess, rotating the flap into the recess and, by means of a welding operation, creating a plastic flow between the flap and the recess to fill the recess with plastic and to create a seamless join between the flap and the housing to conceal the presence of the strip in the housing.
