A window opening and closing assembly wherein a rack gear is operatively driven by a pinion gear which is connected to a handle, the arrangement being one wherein there is a pin mounted on one side of the pinion gear and which must move past a resilient element to reach the fully open and fully closed positions. The resilient element provides a firm feel to the handle. A replaceable housing member can have different configurations.

L'invention porte sur un ensemble d'ouverture et de fermeture de fenêtre dans lequel une crémaillère est actionnée par un engrenage pignon relié à une manivelle. L'ensemble comporte une tige montée sur un côté de l'engrenage pignon, laquelle doit passer à côté d'un élément flexible pour se trouver en position pleinement ouverte ou fermée. L'élément flexible donne une sensation de fermeté à la manette. Un élément de boîtier amovible peut avoir plusieurs configurations.
