ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A system for communicating the identifying data of lost or stolen credit cards or pay tokens to a large number of point of sale locations via a television channel, comprising means for inserting in a single scanning line encoded address and identifying data, a receiving device located at at least one card checking station connected to a television antenna or co-axial line arranged to receive, convert, and detecting the said encoded data contained in said single television scanning line, said device further being connected to a store arranged to place all data thus received into said store, and means for scanning the accummulated contents of said store whenever a card is presented to the card checking station.
