An automated banking machine (10) is operative to test a display module (42) thereof. The test determines whether the display module (42) fails to produce an acceptable display output. A predetermined color sequence is sent to the display module for display thereof. A sensor device (44) positioned adjacent the display module screen is operative to sense displayed colors. A machine controller is operative to determine whether the display module (42) displayed the correct color sequence. A display module error signal can be generated responsive to the display module failing to display the proper color sequence. The testing of the display module may continue repeatedly to continually update its display status.
L'invention concerne un guichet automatique bancaire (10) permettant de tester un module d'affichage (42) de ce dernier. Le test consiste à déterminer si le module d'affichage (42) ne réussit pas à produire une sortie d'affichage acceptable. Une séquence de couleur prédéterminée est envoyée au module d'affichage afin d'être affichée. Un dispositif de détection (44) positionné contre l'écran du module d'affichage sert à détecter les couleurs affichées. Un contrôleur de machine permet de déterminer si le module d'affichage (42) a affiché correctement la séquence de couleur. Un signal d'erreur du module d'affichage peut être généré en réponse au fait que le module d'affichage n'a pas réussit à afficher la bonne séquence de couleur. Le test du module d'affichage peut se poursuivre de manière répétée afin de mettre continûment à jour le statut d'affichage.
