This invention concerns a cashcard system for purchasing laundry services wherein the user is issued with a cashcard and a personal identification number. Each of the laundry facilities is provided with a terminal having means for verifying the user, means for verifying the card, means for updating the card with an amount requested by the user, means for saving the card identification and the amount revalued to the card and means for storing and forwarding at a later time the amounts revalued to the cards for credit verification by a central computer remote to the terminal. In addition, the terminal in verifying the card compares the card to a previously rejected cards before updating the card with a new amount requested.

Cette invention concerne un système de cartes de paiement destinées à l'achât de services de blanchisserie où l'utilisateur reçoit une carte de paiement et un numéro d'identification personnel. Chacune des installations de blanchisserie comporte les éléments suivants : un terminal dans lequel un dispositif permet de vérifier l'identité de l'usager; un dispositif de vérification de la carte; un dispositif permettant de mettre à jour la carte en tenant compte du montant demandé par l'utilisateur; un dispositif conçu pour stocker l'identification de la carte et le montant revalorisé dans la carte et un dispositif de stockage et de report à une date ultérieure des montants revalorisés, sur les cartes, afin qu'un ordinateur central éloigné du terminal procède à la vérification du crédit. Lorsque, par ailleurs, le terminal vérifie la carte, il la compare aux cartes auparavant rejetées avant de la mettre à jour si un nouveau montant est demandé.
