A process and apparatus for completing a subterranean well bore in at least one subterranean formation (6). At least one perforating gun assembly (20) is positioned on the outside casing (12) in a subterranean well bore. A suitable signal, such as a hydraulic, electric or wave signal, is transported to the perforating gun assembly so as to detonate one or more explosive charges (30) in the perforating gun assembly (20) which are aimed toward the casing (12). At least one wall in the casing (12) is perforated thereby establishing fluid communication through the wall of the casing (12). Usually, cement (17) surrounding the casing (12) and a subterranean formation (6) surrounding the casing (12) are also perforated to establish fluid communication between the formation and the interior of the casing (12). A logging tool may be positioned exterior to the casing (12). In one embodiment, multiple perforating gun assemblies (20) are located outside the casing (12) and juxtaposed to multiple subterranean formations (6) of interest.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de réaliser un puits de forage souterrain dans une formation souterraine (6) au moins. A cet effet, on place un ensemble perforateur (20) au moins sur le tubage (12) extérieur dans un puits de forage souterrain. On envoie un signal approprié, tel qu'un signal hydraulique, électrique ou une onde, à l'ensemble perforateur afin de faire exploser une ou plusieurs charges (30) explosives dans l'ensemble perforateur, lesquelles charges sont dirigées contre le tubage (12). On perfore ainsi au moins une paroi du tubage (12), ce qui permet d'établir une communication fluidique à travers la paroi du tubage (12). De façon générale, on perfore également le béton (17) entourant le tubage (12) et une formation souterraine (6) entourant le tubage (12) de manière à établir une communication fluidique entre la formation et l'intérieur du tubage (12). Un appareil de diagraphie peut être disposé à l'extérieur du tubage (12). Selon un mode de réalisation, on dispose plusieurs ensembles perforateurs (20) à l'extérieur du tubage (12) et on les juxtapose aux diverses formations souterraines (6) à étudier.
