ABSTRACT A casing stabbing apparatus for running casing pipe into a well bore and comprising a casing handling head for grasping a generally upright section of casing pipe the head being controllably movable along intersecting horizontal areas extending over the well bore and the casing head being also movable vertically along the vertical axis. The invention includes a platform attached to the handling head for movement therewith and adapted to support an operator who is able to visually observe and guide the stabbing section of the casing pipe and thereafter release the same by operating the control means.
