CASING SUSPENSION SYSTEM (D#78, 326-C1-F) ABSTRACT The instant casing suspension system permits the hang- ing of casing strings from casing hangers located at different depths in a wellbore. A casing hanger is suspended within the borehole by a length of casing running from the top of the borehole. Ordinarily, this casing will be supported by an outer casing hanger at the top of the borehole. One or more concentric casing strings are then run through the outer casing hanger at the surface and the suspended casing hanger within the borehole. The additional casing hangers for the one or more concentric casing strings are run through the outer casing hanger and nested within the suspended casing hanger. The suspended casing hanger thus provides support for all of the smaller diameter casing hangers and their associated casing strings.
