2119565 9402828 PCTABS00030 A cassette for storing and dispensing cuvettes comprising an enclosable frame (34) defining an interior volume for storing cuvettes. The frame (34) includes a removable cover (38) to aid in loading a plurality of cuvettes into the cassette. The frame (34) also includes a sidewall having a pivotally mounted door (40) for pivoting between a closed position and an open position for dispensing the cuvettes from the cassette. A locking mechanism (46, 48) for locking the door in the closed position to avoid inadvertent dispensing of cuvettes.
