ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is disclosed herein a cassette tape recorder having a printed circuit board on which electronic parts forming an electronic circuit of a tape recorder are mounted, which board is used as a chassis. A taps cassette can be loaded onto this printed circuit board so that the whole of the cassette tape recorder can be reduced in thickness. In the event the printed circuit board is warped, the perpendicularity of a capstan relative to a cassette tape can be maintained so as to maintain stable running of the cassette tape even though the printed circuit board is warped.
