-1- Patent Application of ROBERT E. CUNNINGHAM AND ALBIN P. BERZINIS for CAST ACRYLIC SHEET WITH IMPROVED RESISTANCE TO THERMAL RELAXATION DN 82-60 MSA/ets Abstract of the Disclosure A terpolymer composition comprising the polymerized product of a major amount of methylmethacrylate and a minor amount of maleic anhydride and styrene is provided. The composition is useful in preparing cast sheet which is resistant to thermal relaxation and which meets the requirements for aircraft glazing applications. The cast sheet is optically clear, simple to prepare, and less expensive than prior cast sheet. The terpolymer preferably comprises the polymerized product of from about 95 to 93 weight percent methylmethacrylate monomer, and from about 7 to about 5 weight percent of a monomer mixture of maleic anhydride and styrene where the molar ratio of maleic anhydride monomer to styrene monomer is at least one to one.
