ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The caster wheel includes a swivel housing connected to a transportation apparatus such as a shopping cart and supporting a transverse shaft and a downwardly directed braking bracket ter- minated with a transverse braking shoe. Two separate wheel discs are respectively supported for rotation on the shaft and are slid- ably interconnected along their periphery by snap-in annular grooves and tongues. Each wheel disc is provided with a radially directed guiding ring which is adapted for engaging a guiding groove on a conveyor belt. -1-
