The invention provides a process, casting assembly (10) and casting apparatus for charging a mould (12) with molten metal and solidifying it in the mould to form an artefact, the process including, prior to charging the mould, heating the mould by induction heating to an elevated temperature at which the charging takes place. The assembly (10) includes a mould (12) for casting he artefact and an induction heating arrangement (14), which includes at least one induction coil surrounding the mould, for heating it to an elevated temperature prior to the casting. The apparatus (20) includes the assembly (10) and a melting apparatus (4) for forming a molten charge of metal, the apparatus (40) including a heating arrangement (44) for heating a precursor of the molten charge to melt it.
L'invention concerne un procédé, un ensemble de moulage (10)et un appareil de moulage permettant de charger un moule (12) avec du métal en fusion et de le solidifier dans ce moule en vue de former un produit, ce procédé consistant, avant de charger le moule, à le chauffer par induction à une température élevée à laquelle le chargement s'effectue. L'ensemble (10) comporte un moule (12) permettant de mouler le produit, et un agencement de chauffage par induction (14), lequel comprend au moins une bobine d'induction entourant le moule, permettant de le chauffer à une température élevée avant le moulage. L'appareil (20) comporte l'ensemble (10) et un appareil de fusion (40) permettant de former une charge de métal en fusion, cet appareil (40) renfermant un agencement de chauffage (44) permettant de chauffer un précurseur de la charge en fusion pour le faire fondre.
