A caster wheel mounting mechanism having a shaft member to which the caster wheel is coupled, the shaft member having a generally circular cross section with a flatted portion, a mounting member having an opening within which the shaft member is pivotally received, and a compression spring for biasing an abutment member or ball into abutment with the shaft such that the caster wheel is biased to a predetermined position when the abutment member abuts the flatted portion of the shaft member.

L'invention concerne un mécanisme de montage de roulettes comportant un arbre auquel est couplée la roulette. L'arbre a une section généralement circulaire avec une partie plane. Un élément de montage comporte une ouverture dans laquelle l'arbre vient se loger et pivote. Le mécanisme comprend aussi un ressort de pression pour repousser une butée ou une bille contre l'arbre de telle sorte que la roulette est repoussée vers une position prédéterminée lorsque la butée vient abouter la partie plane de l'arbre.
