The invention provides a shaped catalyst carrier which is an inorganic refractory oxide having a monomodal mercury pore volume distribution wherein at least 50% of the total pore volume is present in pores having a pore diameter in the range of from 4 to 50 nm, a catalyst incorporating said carrier and having a high metals content. The catalyst finds use in hydrocracking refinery feedstocks.
L'invention concerne un support catalytique façonné, qui consiste en un oxyde réfractaire inorganique présentant une répartition de volume poreux de mercure monomodal, au moins 50 % du volume poreux total étant présent dans des pores qui ont un diamètre de pore compris entre 4 et 50 nm, un catalyseur comprenant ce support et possédant une teneur élevée en métaux. Ce catalyseur s'utilise dans les matières de base de raffinerie d'hydrocraquage.
