ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a heat treated catalyst composition which is suitable for catalysing processes involving the oxidation or ammoxidation of olefins to the corresponding unsaturated aldehydes, acids and nitriles respectively. The heat-treated catalyst composition contains antimony and between 0.05 to 1.0 atom % of molybdenum or tungsten present as an oxide or other compound and is further promoted by addition of an oxide or other compound of uranium and/or vanadium present in the composition in an amount from 0.005 to 0.5 atom %.
