Polyurethane foam backed textiles, particularly polyurethane backed carpets can be prepared using a formulation including a dialkyltin sulfide catalyst. Use of the dialkyltin sulfide catalyst allows for a delayed gellation without substantially increasing the time from gellation to cure. The delay in gellation provides for improved handling and backing quality.

L'invention porte sur des textiles renforcés d'envers, notamment des tapis à dossier, pouvant être élaborés par l'utilisation d'une formulation comportant un catalyseur à base de sulfure de dialkyltine. L'emploi de ce catalyseur permet de retarder la gélification sans pour autant augmenter notablement le délai existant entre la gélification et le durcissement. Ce retard dans le processus de gélification améliore les qualités de maniement et de soutien.
