A catalyst for purifying exhaust gases includes a support substrate, and a catalytic loading layer. The support substrate has an exhaust-gas flow passage. The catalytic loading layer is formed on a surface of the exhaust-gas flow passage, and is composed of a porous oxide support and a catalytic ingredient. The catalytic loading layer includes an Rh area, and an oxidizing area. On the Rh area, rhodium is loaded as the catalytic ingredient. The oxidizing area is formed on an exhaust-gas flow downstream side with respect to the Rh area. On the oxidizing area, a catalytic ingredient exhibiting an oxidizing activity at least is loaded. Also disclosed is an exhaust-gas purification controller using the same.
L'invention concerne un catalyseur permettant de purifier des gaz d'échappement et comprenant un substrat support et une couche de chargement catalytique. Le substrat support comprend un passage d'écoulement des gaz d'échappement et la couche de chargement catalytique est formée sur une surface du passage d'écoulement des gaz d'échappement et est composée d'un support d'oxyde poreux et d'un ingrédient catalytique. La couche de chargement catalytique comprend une zone de Rh et une zone d'oxydation. Sur la zone de Rh, du rhodium est chargé comme ingrédient catalytique. La zone d'oxydation est formée sur un côté aval d'écoulement des gaz d'échappement par rapport à la zone de Rh. Sur la zone d'oxydation, un ingrédient catalytique présentant au moins une activité d'oxydation est chargé. L'invention concerne également une unité de commande de la purification des gaz d'échappement mettant en oeuvre le catalyseur.
