A catalyst composition is described for preparing a high activity catalyst in silica which produces, in a single reactor, polyethylene with a broad or bimodal molecular weight distribution. The catalyst is prepared from the interaction of silica, previously calcined at 600 ~C, with dibutylmagnesium, 1- butanol and titanium tetrachloride and a solution of methylalumoxane and ethylenebis[1-indenyl]zirconium dichloride.
L'invention concerne une composition de catalyseur destinée à préparer un catalyseur à haute activité en silice, permettant de produire, dans un seul réacteur, du polyéthylène présentant une distribution large ou bimodale de la masse moléculaire. Ce catalyseur est préparé par interaction de la silice, préalablement calcinée à 600 ·C, avec du dibutyl magnésium, du 1-butanol, du tétrachlorure de titane, et une solution de méthylalumoxane et de dichlorure d'éthylènebis[1-indényl]zirconium.
