Abstract "CATALYST FOR THE PHOTODECOMPOSITION OF WATER, AND A PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION THEREOF" A catalyst for the photodecomposition of water comprises particles of TiO2 doped with Nb, and containing on their surface RuO2. This catalyst may be used, for instance, in combination with ruthenium trisbipyridyl, methylviologen and colloidal platinum. There is also described a process for the preparation of such a catalyst.
