A TS-1 catalyst suitable for the production of oxirane compounds is prepared by subjecting conventionally formed TS-1 to a size reduction treatment such as milling such that the average particle size weighted by volume of the TS-1 is reduced to less than 10 microns in diameter and the size reduced TS-1 is spray dried.

La présente invention concerne un catalyseur TS-1 qui convient pour la production de composés oxyrane. On prépare ce catalyseur en soumettant un TS-1 formé de manière classique à un traitement de réduction de taille tel qu'un broyage de sorte que la taille moyenne des particules pondérée en volume du TS-1 soit réduite à un diamètre inférieur à 10 microns et ce TS-1 de taille réduite est séché par pulvérisation.
