CATALYST SUPPORTS AND CRACKING CATALYSTS INCORPORATING THEM ABSTRACT A catalyst support is prepared by mixing colloidal alumina and colloidal silica to obtain a composite having a defined pore-size distribution. The support suitably includes also a particulate weighting agent. Catalyst compositions having excellent resistance to metal poisoning and useful in both cracking and non-cracking processes, are obtained by incorporating various hydrocarbon cracking components into the support.
