ABSTRACT A novel catalyst system is provided for the preparation of polymer foams containing isocyanurate and urethane linkages. The catalyst system based on an alkali metal or tetraalkylammonium carboxylate and a group IIa metal carboxylate. The resulting isocyanurate foams have improved rise profile and excellent cure times and are adaptable for use in the manufacture of continuously made products.
