ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE CATALYSTS A catalyst is made by impregnating a highly microporous support with a solution of a substance providing catalytically active material in a mixture of water and an organic liquid that reduces the surface tension of the solution. The preferred solution contains 20 to 50% water and 50 to 80% methanol.
