PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION L'invention concerne un procédé de reforming caractérisé en ce qu'on opère en présence d'un catalyseur qui renferme un support à base d'au moins un oxyde d'un élément des groupes II, III et IV du Système Périodique des éléments et, en poids par rapport au support du catalyseur, (a) 0,005 à 1% de platine, (b) 0,005 à 1% de rhodium ou d'osmium, (c) 0,005 à 5% d'un métal additionnel choisi dans le groupe constitué par le chrome, le tungstène, le molybdène, le manganèse, le rhénium, le germanium, l'étain, le gallium, l'indium, le thallium, le thorium, le cérium, le samarium, le lanthane le zinc, le cadmium le titane et le zirconium, et (d) 0,1 à 10% d'un halogène. L'invention concerne également le catalyseur défini précédemment dont l'activité et la durée de vie est accrue.
