The present invention relates to a catalytic composition which comprises a beta zeolite, a metal of group VIII, a metal of group VI B and optionally one or more oxides as carrier. The catalytic system of the present invention can be used for the hydrotreating of hydrocarbon mixtures and more specifically in the upgrading of hydrocarbon mix- tures having boiling ranges within the range of 35° to 250°C, containing sulfur impurities, i.e. in hydrodesulfu- ration with contemporaneous skeleton isomerization and a reduced hydrogenation degree of olefins contained in said hydrocarbon mixtures, the whole process being carried out in a single step.

Composé catalytique comprenant une zéolithe bêta, un métal du groupe VIII, un métal du groupe VI B et, facultativement, au moins un oxyde comme support. Le système catalytique peut être utilisé pour l'hydrotraitement de mélanges d'hydrocarbures et plus particulièrement, pour l'amélioration des mélanges d'hydrocarbures dont l'intervalle d'ébullition est de 35 à 250 degrés C et qui contiennent des impuretés de soufre, c'est-à-dire pour l'hydrodésulfuration par isomérisation concomitante des squelettes des oléfines et par limitation de l'hydrogénation des oléfines contenues dans ces mélanges d'hydrocarbures. Tout le procédé se déroule en une seule étape.
