L'invention concerne un procédé de craquage catalytique, et le dispositif associé, dans lequel la réaction de craquage se déroule dans deux zones réactionnelles successives sensiblement verticales, la charge étant introduite dans la première zone où elle circule du haut vers le bas, puis an moins une partie du produit obtenu étant introduite dans une seconde zone réactionnelle où elle circule de manière ascendante. Une phase hydrocarbonée supplémentaire est avantageusement introduite dans le produit éntrant dans la seconde zone. L'invention s'applique particulièrement aux charges lourdes, avec un dispositif en U. Figure 2 à publier.
