The invention is directed to a catalytic reactor for endothermic reactions. The catalyst is located in a housing (13) which is formed of refractory material, at least one tubular catalytic vessel (10) being arranged in the interior ofthe housing (13). In order to provide a catalytic reactor in which the reactor vessel is protected against thermal damage without the drawbacks of costly construction steps, unwanted increases in exhaust gas quantities or disadvantages in the utilization of energy of the fuels employed, the invention proposes the following: a plurality of catalytic vessels ( 10) are arranged at a distance from one another in the housing (13), a plurality of burners (15) are arranged in the housing (13) in such a way that the catalytic vessels (10) lie between the burners (15), and the flame region ofthe burners (15) lies in the region ofthe heat distributors (16) in each instance so as to ensure nonadiabatic combustion.
L'invention concerne un réacteur catalytique pour réactions endothermiques. Le catalyseur est situé dans un boîtier (13) en matériau réfractaire. Au moins un récipient tubulaire de catalyseur (10) est situé à l'intérieur du boîtier (13). Afin d'obtenir un réacteur catalytique qui exclue tout dommage de la cuve du réacteur dû à la chaleur, sans avoir recours à des mesures coûteuses de construction ou sans devoir accepter des augmentations indésirables des quantités de gaz d'échappement ni les inconvénients qui en résultent pour ce qui est du rendement énergétique des combustibles utilisés, plusieurs récipients de catalyseur (10) sont mutuellement espacés dans le boîtier (13), une pluralité de brûleurs (15) sont montés dans le boîtier (13) de sorte que les récipients de catalyseur (10) se situent entre les brûleurs (15), et la zone de la flamme des brûleurs (15) se situe dans la zone des dissipateurs de chaleur (16) afin d'assurer une combustion non adiabatique.
