ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION Thermosetting coating compositions made from amine- -aldehyde condensates and aliphatic hydroxyl containing polymers of ethylenically unsaturated monomers are catalyzed by a poly- carboxylic acid anhydride and a hydrated metal salt. Such compositions are useful as automotive coatings, appliance coatings and coatings for many industrial applications.
