The present invention is directed to a catamenial tampon, comprising: a primary absorbent member; and a withdrawal cord having a withdrawal portion and an attachment portion. The attachment portion is joined to the primary absorbent member. The withdrawal cord includes a composite yarn which includes a continuous string, and a secondary absorbent member joined to a part of the continuous string. The continuous string which has the secondary absorbent member joined thereto is woven according to a predetermined weaving manner after being provisionally twisted, thereby forming the attachment portion and the withdrawal portion. The present invention is also directed to a composite yarn having thinner portions and thicker portions which are alternatively disposed. The composite yarn comprises: a continuous string; and a plurality of fleeces intermittently joined to the continuous string.
L'invention concerne un tampon périodique composé d'un premier élément absorbant et d'un cordon de retrait présentant une partie de retrait et une partie de fixation. Cette partie de fixation est accouplée au premier élément absorbant. Le cordon de retrait comprend un fil composite possédant une cordelette continue, ainsi qu'un deuxième élément absorbant accouplé à une partie de cette cordelette continue. Cette dernière, à laquelle est relié le deuxième élément absorbant, est tissée selon une configuration prédéterminée après avoir été préalablement tordue, ce qui constitue la partie de fixation et la partie de retrait. L'invention concerne également un fil composite possédant des parties plus minces et des parties plus épaisses disposées de façon alternée. Ce fil composite est composé d'une cordelette continue et d'une pluralité de touffes reliées de façon intermittente à la cordelette continue. Cette cordelette continue, à laquelle est reliée la pluralité de touffes de façon intermittente, est tissée selon une configuration prédéterminée après avoir été préalablement tordue, ce qui permet de constituer les parties les plus minces et les parties les plus épaisses.
