ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A flexible mica tape having a low gel tome is prepared from a composition of an epoxy resin, an organo- tin salt, and catechol or pyrogallol. A mica sheet is immersed in the composition and the solvent is evaporated to form a tack-free A-staged resin. A conductor is woung with the tape and is impregnated with an impregnating resin using vacuum-pressure impregnation.
