The present invention provides novel cathecol hydrazone derivatives which inhibit the enzymatic activity of phosphodiesterase IV. The invention thus relates to cathecol hydrazone derivatives of formula (I) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein R1 is C1-7 alkyl or C3-7 cycloalkyl; R2 is hydrogen, hydroxyl, C1-5 alkyl or -CH2-CH2C(=O)NH2; R3 and R4 are independently hydrogen, C1-7 alkyl, -C(=X)-R5, or 2-, 3- or 4-pyridyl, prymidyl or phenyl substituted with one or two selected from a group consisting of halogen, C1-6 alkoxy, nitro, trifluoromethyl, C1-6 alkyl and carboxyl, or R3 and R4 are directly bonded by C3-4 containing oxygen, sulfur or nitrogen to form a heterocyclic ring, X is oxygen, sulfur or NH and R5 is C1-7 alkyl, -NHR6, CONH2 or 2-, 3- or 4-pyridyl, prymidyl or phenyl substituted with one selected from a group consisting of halogen, C1-6 alkoxy, nitrile, trifluoromethyl, C1- 6 alkyl and carboxyl, and R6 is hydrogen, hydroxyl, NH2, C1-5 alkoxy, C1-5 alkyl, pyridyl or phenyl.

La présente invention concerne de nouveaux dérivés de cathécol-hydrazone représentés par la formule (I), ou des sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables desdits dérivés. Dans cette formule, R<1> représente C1-7 alkyle ou C3-7 cycloalkyle ; R<2> représente hydrogène, hydroxy, C1-5 alkyle ou -CH2CH2C(=O)NH2 ; R<3> et R<4> représentent indépendamment hydrogène, C1-7 alkyle, -C(=X)-R<5>, ou 2-, 3- ou 4-pyridyle, prymidyle ou phényle substitué par un ou deux radicaux sélectionnés dans le groupe comprenant un halogène, C1-6 alcoxy, nitro, trifluorométhyle, C1-6 alkyle et carboxyle, ou R<3> et R<4> sont directement liés par un oxygène, soufre ou azote à teneur en C3-4 pour former un noyau hétérocyclique, X représente oxygène, soufre ou NH et R<5> représente C1-7 alkyle, -NHR<6>, CONH2 ou 2-, 3- or 4-pyridyle, prymidyle ou phényle substitué par un radical sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant un halogène, C1-6 alcoxy, nitrile, trifluorométhyle, C1-6 alkyle et carboxyle, et R<6> représente hydrogène, hydroxy, NH2, C1-5 alcoxy, C1-5 alkyle, pyridyle ou phényle.
