A catheter has an inner tube for forming a drug supply channel, and an outer tube for receiving the inner tube. Separation walls extend between the inner and outer tubes for forming a plurality of supply channels for supplying fluid. A balloon is mounted outside the outer tube and has a plurality of separation walls extending between the outer tube and the balloon for forming multiple compartments around the outside circumference of the outer tube. As a result the direction of the catheter can be controlled at bifurcations in a blood vessel by supplying fluid through a selected supply channel to at least one compartment to inflate it.
