A catheter assembly (10) having a sheath (36), which includes a side wall enclosing an interior bore, and a distal region (16). The assembly also has a bendable catheter tube (12), which is carried for sliding movement in the interior bore. A pull wire (60) also runs through the interior bore of the sheath, preferably within a lumen. The catheter tube has a distal portion with a coupling (72) which joins the distal portion of the catheter tube and the distal portion of the pull wire. Relative movement of the pull wire and the sheath causes bending of the catheter tube outwardly through the opening, in response to sliding movement of the catheter tube within the interior bore toward the distal region of the sheath.

L'invention concerne un ensemble de cathéter (10) comportant une gaine (36), qui comprend une paroi latérale enveloppant un alésage intérieur, et une zone distale (16). L'ensemble selon l'invention comprend un tube de cathéter flexible (12) qui est supporté en vue de son coulissement dans l'alésage intérieur.
