A catheter including a tubular profiled end section (2) with an inlet portion (3) provided with a flexible ring-shaped circumferential stop (4), and an outlet end (5) provided with a central dispensing port. Helical circumferential threads (7) are distributed between the stop (4) and the outlet end (5). The stop (4) includes a plurality of fine ring-shaped rib portions (41, 42, 43, 44) closely axially spaced so that they are mutually engageable when exposed to an axial bending force, and their bending strength thus increases above a predetermined bending threshold. A good balance is thus achieved between the softness needed to avoid injuries to the animal being treated and the stiffness required for sealing contact in the region of the cervix during insemination.
Le cathéter selon l'invention comprend un tronçon d'extrémité (2) profilé tubulaire, avec une zone d'entrée (3) à butée annulaire périphérique d'arrêt (4) flexible et une extrémité de sortie (5) à orifice central de diffusion. Des filets hélicoïdaux (7) périphériques se répartissent entre la butée annulaire périphérique d'arrêt (4) et l'extrémité de sortie (5). La butée annulaire périphérique d'arrêt (4) comprend une pluralité de portions de fines nervures annulaires (41, 42, 43, 44) décalées axialement d'un faible écart pour s'épauler les unes et les autres lors d'une sollicitation en flexion axiale et augmenter ainsi leur résistance à la flexion au-delà d'un seuil de flexion déterminé. On réalise ainsi un bon compromis entre la douceur nécessaire pour éviter de blesser l'animal à traiter, et la rigidité nécessaire pour une bonne étanchéité de la région du col de l'utérus lors de l'insémination.
