An intravascular balloon catheter (10) having an ultra soft tip. The catheter includes a braided reinforcement member (70) extending substantially the length of the elongate shaft (60). A balloon (50) is disposed at the distal end of the elongate shaft. An ultra soft tip is formed from a distal portion of balloon material extending distal of the distal end of the elongate shaft.

L~invention concerne un cathéter à ballonnet intravasculaire (10) doté d~un embout ultra souple. Le cathéter comporte un élément de renfort tressé (70) se prolongeant essentiellement sur toute la longueur d~une tige allongée (60). Un ballonnet (50) est disposé au niveau de l~extrémité distale de la tige allongée. Un embout ultra souple est formé à partir de l~extrémité distale du matériau du ballonnet et se prolonge distalement depuis l~extrémité distale de la tige allongée.
